FAQs
What is the GEYOTO S45 Portable Solar Panel?
The GEYOTO S45 is a lightweight, foldable 45W solar panel equipped with three USB charging ports. It is designed to charge phones, tablets, power banks, cameras, GPS devices, and other USB-powered electronics during camping, hiking, travel, emergencies, and off-grid activities.
Does the S45 always produce 45W of power?
45W is the panel’s rated maximum output under standard laboratory conditions. Actual output may be lower due to cloud cover, temperature, shading, panel angle, surface cleanliness, and the charging limits of connected devices.
What charging ports does the S45 provide?
The S45 features three charging ports:
- USB-C1 with PD charging up to 25W
- USB-C2 with charging up to 15W
- USB-A with QC 3.0 charging up to 18W
Actual output depends on available sunlight and the charging requirements of each connected device.
How can I maximize the S45’s solar output?
Fully unfold the panel and place it in direct, unobstructed sunlight. Keep the solar surface facing the sun and adjust its position throughout the day. Avoid shade from trees, buildings, tents, cables, or nearby objects.
Can I use the S45 on cloudy days?
Yes, but solar output will be lower and less stable. Devices may charge slowly or repeatedly stop and restart as sunlight changes. Using the panel to charge a power bank first can provide more stable power for sensitive electronics.
Why is my device charging more slowly than expected?
Charging speed may be reduced by weak sunlight, partial shading, an incorrect panel angle, high panel temperature, multiple connected devices, an incompatible cable, or the device’s own charging limit. Use a suitable fast-charging cable and reposition the panel in stronger sunlight.
Is the S45 waterproof?
The solar panel surface is rated IP68 for water and dust resistance. The junction box, USB ports, and cable connections are excluded from the waterproof rating and should always be kept dry. Do not fold or store the panel while it is wet.
